Amanda qualified from The British School of Osteopathy in 1996. For the first 8 years after qualifying she worked in a large Multi-disciplinary Clinic in Ipswich alongside fellow Osteopaths, Physiotherapists, and Orthopaedic consultants. This enabled her to gain a wealth of experience treating a wide variety of conditions in patients of all ages. During this time she also worked as a tutor at the BSO outpatient clinic.
After moving to Lavenham she was keen to offer her new local community the benefits of Osteopathy and established the Lavenham Osteopathic Practice in 2005. Over the years she has developed a keen interest in treating back pain, from the neck to the pelvis, from acute symptoms to those suffering from chronic conditions. Since moving to Lavenham she has gone on to get married and enjoys a busy and active life with her husband and 3 young daughters.
Katie grew up and went to school in Suffolk and moved to London in 2004 to train as an Osteopath. Since qualifying from the British School of Osteopathy Katie gained experience working in several practices in London, however she has now –re-established herself in Suffolk. Her time is split between Lavenham Osteopathic Practice and a large Multi-Disciplinary Clinic in Ipswich where she works closely with many Physiotherapists, podiatrists and Orthopaedic Spinal Consultants.
Katie treats people of all ages using a combination of soft tissue massage, joint articulation and manipulation and also offers acupuncture/dry needling where appropriate. She has a personal interest in sports injuries and rehabilitation. In her spare time Katie enjoys an active lifestyle, running, cycling, skiing and sailing on the east coast with her young family.
